Areas I serve
South Shore Communities
The corridor from St. Margarets Bay to Liverpool runs roughly 180 kilometres of Atlantic coastline. Here is what each community is really like, and what it costs to live there.
St. Margarets Bay & Hubbards
The eastern gateway to the shore. Year-round community feel, beaches, and serious oceanfront on the outer bay.
Chester
The most desirable address on the shore. Deep-water harbour, yacht club, golf, and stunning outer islands.
Mahone Bay
The iconic Three Churches town. Walkable main street, strong year-round population, and a bay of 300+ islands.
Lunenburg
One of the most architecturally significant towns in North America. Iconic waterfront, thriving arts scene, global draw.
Bridgewater
The commercial centre of the region. Regional hospital, full retail, and the strongest rental market on the corridor.
Liverpool & South Queens
The most undervalued stretch of the shore. Ocean access, Carter's Beach, and prices still below the provincial median.
The Places In Between
Not everyone wants a main street.
Some of the best living on the South Shore happens between the towns. Quiet wharves, dirt lanes that end at the water, and a whole coastline of smaller places that rarely come with a neighbourhood guide.
The Aspotogan loop: Bayswater, Northwest Cove and Blandford
Chester Basin, Gold River, Western Shore and Martins River
Oakland, Indian Point and First Peninsula
Blue Rocks, Stonehurst and Heckmans Island
Pleasantville, LaHave, Crescent Beach and the LaHave Islands
Petite Rivière, Broad Cove, Voglers Cove, Port Medway and Mill Village
Buying out here is a different conversation. Wells and septic instead of town services. Internet that varies road by road. Drive times to the grocery store, the school bus route, what winter maintenance actually looks like on a private lane. None of it is a dealbreaker, but all of it is worth knowing before you offer, and it’s the kind of thing I’ll tell you straight.
No two of these places feel the same, and most of what I know about them never makes it into a listing. If one of these names has been on your mind, I’m happy to fill in the rest.
Not sure which community fits you?
That is exactly the conversation worth having before you start looking. Tell me what you are after and I will point you to the right stretch of coast.
Settling in, not just moving in
Finding the right home is only the beginning. Whether you are coming from another province or another country, I have put together a Welcome Home guide to help you settle in with ease, the local, practical details worth having sorted before you arrive.
